motor inside rearview mirror housng????

hi everyone :-)
my first post here, just wondering if anyone could advise on what the little motor is for in the rearview mirror housing?
mine has become rather loud (buzzing)
is this a renault only part or is there anywhere out there that does a replacement? very many thanks :-)

do you have climate control? if you do there is a fan in there that buzzes. not a lot you can do about it really

hi, no i have no climate control, only air con, is it summat to do with the air con?
it is fitted to my mk2 1.5dci expression 2004.
