still getting there, to be honest it's a real shitter removing the original (In my eyes anyway).
Everything is so stuffed in there it's an absolute pain. I tried again last week on a good clear day. Had everything out but the pipe, didn't have the patience to remove light and bumper to pull the intake pipe out.
So i've got a few options, my brother-in-law is an ex mechanic, my girlfriend brother is a mechanic, so i could get either of them to help me. Or i could just bite the bullet and get K-tech to do it considering they're only 10 miles away and i could pop in to see my grandparents and make a day of it.
For the time being it's really grating my cheese. I used to be pretty good with tinkering about with cars. But in good news i did get the new gear knob and boot installed in about 5 minutes. Now i'm off to calm down and rock out with Guitar Hero.

Yeah ok'ish. Yesterday felt fine. Today..... my legs bloody kill.
The cars either side are fine, probably no more than £100 damage on each.
As for the poor meg, the front was smashed in a small amount until about 4 seconds later when i was shunted further into the back of the car in front.
The battery and radiator are basically sitting on top of the engine, the bonnet is jammed in an awkward position and the offside wing is torn off. looks like it's been wrapped around a tree.
One of the rear alloys is bent and the tyre's blown and there's a nice hole in the rear bumper. Bit pissed about it really.
Anyway, yes i'll pm you the details andy.

Has anyone ANY kind of photos regarding the installation of the BMC-CDA (preferably on a 1.6)? Especially, instructions on how to remove the airbox?
Go and download this PDF file from K&N site which has details to how to remove the Filter Box from M2....

Cheers...

The CDA is a bit on the expensive side.
Which would be better performing....a Green Cotton induction kit or a K&N?
I see the K&K has a cold air intake feed to the filter, does the Green kit have the induction too?
FYI... no other Green or K&N is anywhere close to BMC CDA.... ; Every cent you pay is what you get

I've read that too.
Was going to try something else now. Going to cut a hole in the std box and feed a hose from the front grille to the box, then seal off the OEM hole in the air box.
