I have just bought a 2005 Megane CC with issues.
1. The driver's window doesn't work.
2. The roof doesn't work
3. The engine has issues.
It cost me £350. Including delivery.
The car cuts out until it has warmed up. Can't find my code reader, but I have another on the way.
Point 1 above is probably the cause of point 2.
Oh, and we have the usual "fan only works on full" issue.
Wish me luck. Arrives Saturday.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Re: My latest project
New code reader arrived today. £12 from eBay. Worked fine. Confirmed what I thought - camshaft sensor. It was the ONLY error code.. sensor should be less than £20.
Had to buy a replacement battery. £20 from local scrappy.
New rear light cluster also arrived today. The old one had been "fixed" with superglue. Mess. Another £15.99!
If I can get this lot done, it's blower resistor pack, then on to the roof..
Bear in mind I am working full-time and re-decorating
my house as well..

Re: My latest project
Good luck. I bought a '58 Dymanique CC today. I'm looking through all the forums for hints as I am not at all mechanically minded, and any repairs will be done at a garage. First thing I will do is get an Aux plug fitted so I can listen to the music I have on my phone

Not necessarily. I've had rear windows fail, stuck in the up position, and my roof still worked as normal. I'm not sure about front windows though.

Re: My latest project
TBH, I am more concerned with the Airbag/Service light issue and the bad idling from cold.
Is there a temperature sensor stuck in the "hot" position?
I got the dodgy rear light cluster swapped for a £15 eBay one.. smart..

Re: My latest project
Hi, the airbag/service light can come on because the connector is under the passenger seat and can easily be dislodged. Check the plug.
Re: My latest project
Me again. For the rough/bad idling issue I'd check plug gaps and check all 4 pencil coil packs. If all are OK then I'd look at the throttle body.

Re: My latest project
Cheers. I will give that a look. Just seems odd that it only happens when cold?

Re: My latest project
I have ordered a new temic for the driver's door, and a resistor pack for the blower. I had the battery go flat last week so I have been regularly starting her up and warming the engine..
Tonight, I tried the roof button, and blow me, it worked!
All I have done is twiddle with the luggage cover switch and wd40 the mechanism.
Hell, the drivers window even went down. Bearing in mind the weather forecast for tomorrow, I was concerned that the roof might stay down, but no.. it worked like a charm..
So I have a working CC roof, a fix for the fan, AND I have a solution for the airbag/service light issue. (It's a secret)
That only leaves the cold running issue.
Not bad for £350.
(Plus £15 for rear light, £20 for battery, £15 for resistor pack. £40 for temic. Probably £15 for airbag fix.)
So just over £450. Result.
