ABS and Spanner warning light

Postby ScottBeighton » Mon Apr 08, 2019 1:28 pm

Hi All. My Megane 1.5dci (2007) has the ABS warning and spanner light just come on (have just had a tow bar electric fitted) and would like to find out how to check the cause without paying through the nose at a garage - does any one know what to do or some software/hardware i will need to purchase. Many thanks for your time. Scott

A good ODB2 reader will tell you what sensor is faulty. Pray it is not the rear ones as it will likely be the mounting plate, which is a nightmare to replace. Front - not so bad i dont think.

All sorted. the front ABS sensor to the hub had come away as the holder rusted. Fixed with epoxy resin!
