Radio Code - Megane CC

Hello Everyone,

I recently changed my battery and with that the code for my car stereo is lost and the previous owner didn't provide me with this details. I managed to get the serial number from the stereo. I checked with Renault, they charging me £10 to get me a code. I find this bit too much. Is there anyone who can help me to find the code for me ?.. I will be really greatful as we are leaving for holidays with kids and having a stereo would make the journey a better one.

The Serial no is : ( though i don't know which one it is, i am providing all that is in the stereo)

ive just sorted this out, on the serial number the last 4 digits (above the bar code) are ( a letter a, b ,c ect and followed by three numbers eg p334)

these are the ones needed to get the code from renault
sometimes the code is written down either on the top of the radio itself, or somewhere in the service book or radio operating part of the instructions, just look for a four digit code

some garages have the software to gain the codes for them, i was lucky and had a quiet word with renault who were very helpful

there are also some places you can ask on the net as i originally did where the code is given free but i am still waiting ...

there's a free app available for Android devices, search the play store for 'Renault radio code generator'...

I got an app on my iPhone only cost £1.50 typed the letter and 3 numbers off the serial number and got the code straight away sorted
