Hi all
Nice weather here in Spain over Christmas so had a trip with the top down. When I went to raise it again there were some wierd noises, like rope getting tangled, and it stopped about 2 inches from the top. So it seems the motor works but there's some linkage trouble. Is it easily fixable.
Also I've a STOP! PUNCTURE on the dash, presumably one of the tyre pressure sensors which are forever telling me tyres are under pressure. Can it get the local dealer to disconnect them?
Probably the last things to get done on the car as a SAAB 93 cabriolet has arrived to replace it as I've found the Renault rather uninspiring to drive.

Hi Geoff.
I had this exact same problem with mine. After investigating I discovered that one of the plastic pulley cable holders had failed and the pulley cable had broken free. This resulted in the cable becoming tangled inside the motor mechanism.
I found a new mechanism kit on eBay for less than a tenner. Fitted the kit and problem solved.
Hope this helps.
