Small LED in boot?

Can anybody tell me what this small red LED is for in the boot of my Megane cc. It's on the right hand side as you look in just above where you attach the luggage cover. Never seen it on or flashing.

It will have factory fitted alarm all cc's do as standard.
As for red led? No idea mine is 04 and does not have this how ever when you disable interior sensors for roof off locking you get audible bleeps from driver rear boot area so alarm control could be in boot some where. But led in mine sorry no. Might be after market for something. Doubt it alarm related you can't see it till boot open.

My oasis 5 door had the alarm and a led tucked away.
climbed into boot shut the door put the alarm on and the led flashed away.
So I routed it to be seen from outside.
Do you know a small person you can put in the boot?

Bit odd that don't see point if hiding in boot out of sight mine is in dash panel with clocks so its visable from outside apparently dependent on the flahes you can see if its been set off mine flashes quickly and I get audible bleeps from boot area if alarm has gone off its part of the visible deterant so not sure it would be hidden in boot, serves not use as a deterant or warning of alarm set off.
