Just been doing bottom arms on my 1.9 dci with 6 speed box, short story is one drive shaft popped out and obviously a bit of oil came out, well I say oil but it was very milky, Because of this I decided to drop all the oil and replace it.
Iv searched forum and on line, type of oil isn't the problem but my question is how much of it has to go in? Iv read it takes 2.5l and not to fill it to the "level" plug as that is over full and can cause problems but I can only get in about two litres before it flows out of the plug. Any ideas please?

Re: Gearbox oil
Hi,
the oil level plug is on the front facing side of the gearbox.
Just fill till it starts coming out of there.
What they do say is to make sure car is level.
lf that's what you've done, then no worries.
Bob.
