Glass roof stuck closed...

Got a 2.0vvt dynamique 52 plate

Better than stuck open i suppose but still very annoying. It just stopped working can hear the relay clicking but it doesnt move....


any ideas?

sorry nobody's answered you. I had a look back through the ownership problem posts to see what there was relating to sunroof probs. Several about the glass shattering (scary!) and this one about sunroof motor.

Hello Has any one replaced their sunroof motor themselves? Mine has stopped working totally. I have lloked over the switch. Does any one know if i could by pass the switch to test it?

There were no replies so it's obviously not a common problem. Perhaps you could send a private message to cjssx to find out how prob was resolved.

I have exactly the same problem ( I'm from Israel), I have Megane-2 2004, and about 1 week ago I can't open the roof, i can hear a click sounds, but the glass doesn't move.
Did you already figured it out?

i had the car in quite some time ago and they reported that the runners stuck or something. would need to be replaced. so they gave it back, it was only a free investigation.

i can only assume thay had it open, When i would have thought that a bit of cleaning and grasing would have sorted it..

so i havent used our sunroof for 3years.

But sticky stuck poxy runners! thats what seems to be the issue..

I have the exact same problem with my megane 1.5 dynamique 52plate, I posted but as of yet have not received any feedback, much appreciated if you could let me know if you had any success, I get clicking and can open it manually but that's it, thanks in advance

Mine will open if you press the button and at the same time apply pressure with the other hand at the middle front of the roof to lift it slightly. Don't try this while driving!
