electric issues

hi all, new to the forum.
iv gone through some old threads and found some helpful tips thanks guys and gals

my current issue is:-
electronic fault on dash. had car diagnosed with faulty ecu.
this morning i put a full ecu kit on. ecu, bcm, fusebox, card reader and new card. all parts from the same car which was a runner.

fitted them all by 9am this morning but had a flat battery, jump leads off my trusty ford transit to the battery and hey presto!

CAR STARTED no issues, ran well revved and idled well. left it half an hour on tickover then took it for a spin.

at this point im on a promise from the wife so smiley face. turned the car off. locked the doors, unlocked the doors card in press button:-

STEERING LOCKED then STEERING UNLOCKED non starter

iv replaced the 3 fuses on the positive battery terminal with fuse wire as a temp measure

the steering lock isnt engaging or disengaging


any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. my wife loves the meganes and this is her 3rd one, we have had this one a year 04 1.6petrol with no prior issues, everything has worked 100% from day one

Update, went back to scrappers and he gave me a new steering lock for free, fitted we're off hopefully that will be the end of it
