Megane 1.4 16v 2005 erratic engine

Hello Folks,
My Megane 1.4 16V 2005 has developed an erratic engine motion which I initially thought was a misfire. At idle the engine can be observed rocking considerably but testing indicates all cyls firing. There's no smoke, significant blowby or water in the oil. Once above 1250 rpm the engine is smooth & revs freely. If it returns to idle the engine rocks again shaking the car & the yellow engine management light flashes. On the road it drives normally whilst above 1250rpm. On start up the yellow light is off but will start to flash if engine is left idling/rocking. Would appreciate any advice. thanx in anticipation.. Charlie.

just had the exact same issue, turned out I had 2 snapped engine mounts, one on the right and then the dog bone one under the car, both pretty cheap to replace and seem a common issue

Many thanx, Intend to replace mounts as the top mount is clearly shot. In your case did the yellow engine light come on? Rgds.
