JR5 Gearbox issues!!

I've had some major headaches over the past few months with Gearbox issues. I won't go over all the boring details but to cut a long story short, my K9K 1.5Dci 86 Megane with 164k on now has a new/reconditioned JR5-108 Gearbox.

It is filled with 75w80 Elf Tranself NFJ as recommended, but isn't as slick as I'd expect from a new Gearbox. All gears are working fine, no nasty whines or leaks etc, but I'm still getting a notchy gearchange that I'd rather not have! I know these Renault's don't have the best gearboxes but surely they can't all be this notchy and unsatisfying?

Does anyone have any experience of a particular oil for which has cured these problems for this Gearbox model? I'm now on my 3rd Gearbox (1 original, 1 from scrappy, 1 new) and they all suffered with it, albeit the previous ones much worse with them being worn. I've now done around 1000 miles since fitting and it really hasn't changed much. Notchiness is reduced slightly when hot, but still nowhere near as smooth as my dads 6 speed in his 11 plate 1.5dci Megane.
