Re: remapped 1.9 dci
Quick update on remap today, went down and took the car, sat in waiting room then 15mins later they returned to tell me my car had already had the performance remap with the figures it was showing, he said it had been done to about 170bhp and in all honesty could only tweak it which wasn't worth it, he said he couldn't charge me £180 for possible a couple of extra bhp which I was grateful of his honesty, at first I thought he was trying to get out of doing it but showed me my figures, plus side I'm still £180 better of and now I've asked him to price up next step for a little more extra power out of the cc, will keep you updated, just waiting on 18" wheels to arrive now

Re: remapped 1.9 dci
170bhp for a 1.9 dci stock turbine is well over the max it should have.
160 is max safe power with stock turbo.
this all is a little strange for me that you have a 170bhp map on it

Re: remapped 1.9 dci
I m just wondering how anyone could not notice they had 170 hp under the bonnet....
first gear would be redundant when making use of that power and you would spin the wheels in second without care...
But there again some dynos are way out !

I suppose I wouldn't of noticed it as I don't thrash the arse off it and now you come to mention it the wheels do spin in second if floored and don't shoot the messenger I'm only saying what I've been told, it is a quick car but as I've never had a megane cc dci before I couldn't compare it, I was comparing it to a remapped 180bhp vectra cdti I used to have and wasn't taking into consideration the weight difference between the 2 cars as weight to power ratio feels different in every car

Re: remapped 1.9 dci
the megane has a tall gearing also. so it is more for fast cruising than for straight acceleration, not that it does it bad
but just saying it has a taller gearing than most 1.9 turbo diesels.
but i really hope for you that you have a 160ish horse power and not the power you reported. (for your god, and god of the engine)
