Hello all. I Have read the read before you post and will try and provide all I can about the issue. Below you can see the car I have.
I got it September of last year from a non-Renault car dealership and it has been a great family car for me (apart from a coil spring breaking last week! Haha)
It has had regular services (every 10000 - 15000 miles) and all filters changed, timing belt done recently, as well as oil change.
From the paper work I have for the car I cannot see the issue I have being dealt with before.
So what is the issue then? Well I don't know technical terms so let me apologise if I need to clarify some of the things I say to you.
When I indicate left a number of things happen. If my lights are on the indicator and the light will alternate, if I brake while indicating (quite a common act while driving) the reverse light and brake light will alternate and the reverse light on the offside will show very dimly flashing. If indicating with no lights or brake lights it appears fine I believe.
So far all I am skilled enough to try is checking the earth has a clean solid connection.
What are the possible issues here? Is it a faulty part or a short at some point in the cabling?
I am happy to clarify in anyway if it is not clear what I mean.
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this and any help will be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you might have a short somewhere, more than that I can't tell you.

Re: Nearside rear indicator issue
Problem is most likely to be poor contact on plug/socket of
Nearside rear lamp cluster, 3rd or 4th pin (I think). it might
Show a hint of scorching around the suspect pin, when tail lights
Are switched on the load on this connection is greater, so fault
More likely to happen.the faulty connection is the common
Connection to all the bulbs on the lamp cluster.
Best of luck

Re: Nearside rear indicator issue
Thanks for the reply mate, so I haven't actually had the chance to look at the light cluster but I realised my car is due an MOT on the 14th of June so I have booked it in with my mechanic who will sort it and I'll find out where the problem is. I am a complete noob when it comes to anything electrical.
I will post what the problem was and how it was fixed in as much detail as I can get.

I had a similar problem, on checking the light unit the metal board which the bulbs attach too had rusted shorting the light unit. Replaced the unit with a second hand one and all cured.
