Gear Knob
I know this has been covered many times, but I can't seem to find a clear answer in all the posts. I'm trying to replace the wornout/scratched gear knob cover (the part with the gear numbers on) can this cap be removed and replaced, or do I have to replace the whole gear knob? If the whole gear knob, how does it come off? Please Please sensible answers only!

Re: Gear Knob
I went on ebay.fr
Its a bit difficult as obviously it's french but do able.
I got a really nice plastic but aluminium look insert it cost me less than a fiver with post.
The numbers and gate markings are recessed it looks good been on about 4 years now never found them in the UK, shame really as there was and sou ds like still a market for them.

Re: Gear Knob
Yes mine was badly scratched when I got the car, I got one on ebay (UK). mine is silver, 5 speed and was genuine and brand new at under a fiver inc P&P. They just ease out and the new one pops in, if you look at the underneath of the new one you can so the obvious prise point, so you don't damage the knob surround.
