alright guys
i don't think this is classed as headlight tinting as that goes on the outside of the headlights but on other car forums i've seen people place the headlights in an oven to soften the glue then open them up and paint certain parts on the inside black to give them a sportier look? a smoked look i guess? or maybe i just sound like an idiot haha
has anyone done this? is it possible to do this with the renault megane?
i searched the forum but as i'm not sure of the actual name of what the process is called i couldn't find anything
thanks
headlight tinting?

Re: headlight tinting?
Don't do it just get some FLYEYE and use that as you can also take it off when you get board of it

Re: headlight tinting?
it is mostly done on headlights with projector stile, either xenon or halogen. if you have reflector type headlights than you can paint only very small part of the headlight.
also it is next to impossible to open them up. they actually get cut open and the re-glued.

Re: headlight tinting?
I am going to tint my headlights soon, I was thinking a medium smoke, considered flyeye / perforated films as well when I do it I will take a picture and post it to show results. If you have the cash you can get angel projector headlights which look very good

I wouldn't paint the inside of a headlight though! Haha
Hope this helps a little bit

Re: headlight tinting?
I've painted the inside of the headlights on my old Alfa Romeo 156. As long as you don't paint the part of the headlamp that reflects the light, then the other chromed parts can be painted and the beam is more crisper (less light reflected off other areas within the headlamp). Opening them up for painting though wasn't an easy task. I tried the same on the Megane, but gave up half way - being older than when I last tried it on my Alfa, I either didn't have the patience to persevere, or the Megane's headlamps were too difficult in comparison to the Alfa's
