I have recently bought a Megane CC and would be interested in attending a get together, I usually find meets that start at Little Chefs (or similar) are a good bet. They tend to have decent sized car parks and of course the bonus of tea and coffee, plus the price for Sunday food is not inflated as is the case for most pubs. Most main routes have a few dotted up and down them.... A1/A34 etc.
I stopped at an OK Diner on the A1(m), that was lovely but USA themed of course!! Look here and see if there is something suitable or go for a North & South meet and see who gets the best turnout?? https://www.littlechef.co.uk/findalittlechef

It seems we are a bit shy as megane cc drivers so lets try something different. Driving roads, do people know of good driving roads they could recommend?

I live in the Derbyshire Peak District, so have plenty of the most dangerous roads in the UK (also known as the best driving roads), trouble is the Police know this as well and use camera vans/unmarked cars and motor-bikes/helicopters etc to "curb the enthusiasts". Obviously this tends to be more obvious in summer, but this is still an issue https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Police- ... story.html
But we should try and get some kind of meet set up before the snow comes....please... :cry

According to their web site, the 25 car limit for their Spring 2015 meet has already been exceeded and there's a waiting list, in case anyone drops out! Makes you wonder why there is so little interest from UK members...

Maybe we should try and arrange something definite for Spring then? But whatever happens there must be something to do!
I have been to several car meets and folk just end up standing around and that's pretty boring when you have driven over a 100 miles to get there and probably the organiser was just using his local pub?

I am on that waiting list but its more about the hotel, the rest will end up in a separate hotel. Last couple of years we all staid in the same hotels and got a group discount. Its really nice as we drive from place to place and see different national monuments and other tourist stuff.

I agree. The only problem is getting commitment from people. I was thinking of arranging a meet where we end up going from place to place but its no fun when only 2 or 3 show up. Thats why I usually invite Renault sports they tend to come in numbers but then when its time to go for a drive they really move.
