Not sure if I have a Megane II

Hi guys, not entirely sure i'm in the right place as I know nothing about my car other than how to drive it.
it is a 55 Plate Dynamique and ever since I have had it (March 2014) the Auto Lights and Windscreen Wipers don't work. I can turn them on/off manually but the warning light is really starting to get my back up! If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it. Thank You

Yes it's a II.

1st thing I'd check is the sensor behind the rear view mirror, it should be clean and fully sealed i.e. no wrinkles or gaps in the 'casing'. If the car has had a new windscreen they may not have put the right one in or they may not have sealed the sensor casing properly.

Thanks very much, I didn't even know there was a sensor on the windscreen! I am a complete novice when it comes to cars. I will check that out tomorrow. If there is a problem with the sensor is it easily replaced or will I need a new windscreen? If so how much would that normally cost?

I can't answer that question I'm afraid, hopefully once 1 or 2 of our more technical minded folk come along they'll be able to help, in fact they might shoot me down and tell you to check something else first
