high revs
I have a 1.6 VVT petrol CC and have noticed that when going at plus 70 mph, the engine sounds like it wants me to change gear and the rev counter is around 3500 but I am in fifth gear. Does this sound right? I know it is a heavy car for the engine that is in it but the engine really does sound like there's a missing sixth gear.

Re: high revs
Naturally aspirated petrol engines generally "prefer" higher revs, as this is how they get power. Yes, it is normal.
