Hi there,
I can't open anymore the boot manually but roof is working okay. I took it to a garage and they don't know the fault and say they have to strip up the car (seats, carpet etc) to follow the cable to find the fault. I try to open it with the manual key but the lock must be stuck as the key doesn't turn. I took it to Halfords for a second opinion and they also couldn't do anything saying that the fault could be the computer telling the boot not to open due to roof being operating or so.
any ideas please? The car is 10 years old so not very keen in taking it to the dealer and spent 500 quid to fix it
thanks & regards

Re: Boot doesn't open anymore but roof working okay
do you get any error message after closing the roof?
There's a sensor that 'confirms' that the roof and boot lid is closed properly before the boot is released.
It's located on the left hydraulic arm of the boot lid (but you need to open the boot to reach it...
)
Try to spray some graphite or WD40 into the keyhole, maybe it's just stuck as you never used it.
