Hi All,
2 things on our dear cabriolet I need a bit of help on..
drivers side rear window : this has stopped working on all 3 buttons (central one, drivers door & rear door card) I have reseated the fuse and this made no difference and I have come to the conclusion it is the regulator/resistor in the door itself. I have found a video online to help me get to the offending part and replace but I need a bit of help to source the part. Any ideas???
slight juddering : in 2nd/3rd there is the merest juddering (I am confident this is not drive related, it feels more engine/fuel related) it is not heavy and when the revs are increased it disappears. Any ideas?? Where should I start?
Cheers for any help on this soggy bank holiday

Re: rear window & juddering
The window will be the module attached to the motor on the regulator. Same old problem again and again. Mine is just the same. Currently on back order from Renault
If the car is less than 7 yrs old you can get 76% paid by Renault if you call customer services 1st.

Re: rear window & juddering
thanks Darren,
I've got one coming via breakyard.com I've used the service before (replaced the central window and roof switches).
unfortunately the car is an '05 plate so not chance i guess of Renault helping.
to be honest we're pretty fed up of the car, even with it's new clutch and the work done, the niggles just keep coming...the mrs doesn't trust it...i know a cracked windscreen and a tyre "bubble" are not Renaults fault but it seems to be a magnet for bad luck.. i like the motor and would happily keep it as with the roof down its great....but I'm not the driver.
cheers

Re: rear window & juddering
Hi, just to let you know. Renault now replace the regulator and wiring for any megane up to the age of TEN years. I spoke to Renault UK a couple of weeks ago when I had my gearbox problem. They give you 76% discount as they accept this is a design fault but it will still cost you between £80 and £110 I think they quoted. If you want to try and get it working, you can flip out the cloth panel insert where the armrest is using a screwdriver (A couple of clips face towards the front seat, push them slightly while you pull the cover away from the side then the panel insert will pull out forwards leaving the armrest). This will reveal a rubber like cover which needs to be pulled forwards from the car body (It is double sided taped on). The regulator and motor are behind this. If you wriggle the unit and wiring on the motor you may get it to work again. I've has to do it a couple of times with my nearside rear window.

Re: rear window & juddering
cheers guys, i was about to take all the trim off and follow the video instruction manual....if i can get it off by prying the panel off then great!
i'll keep you posted.

Re: rear window & juddering
I don't think you can get the regulator off unless you remove the whole window assembly as on the youtube video, you may be able to get it working again for a while though.
