Megane Engine Revs

Postby chaz143 » Wed Apr 23, 2014 7:00 am

Hi all,

Second topic with second problem lol

I have noticed on and off that when ever I come to a junction or a nion stop my car seems to struggle sounding like its going to stall. I apply more revs to keep her from stalling - but that can't be right?

Any ideas?

Thanks for all replies.

Its a Megane Coupe/Cabriolet 2.0 Monaco Petrol

Regards Chaz :grin

Too many things may be causing this. Get the codes and a trace with an OBD reader.

Hi, mine used to do this when you first started off then OK for the rest of the journey , every time you started the car. Local garage found it to be a lamda sensor on the exhaust system. After a while it came up with the engine management light on as well. Cost me about £120 to get it sorted. Maybe somewhere to look. Hope it helps. (2.0 petrol Coupe Cab Dynamique 2008). :)

O2 sensor is easy to diagnose by looking at the OBD readings...
