New CC owner

Hi all I've just brought a 2008 Renault Megane Convertible 1.6 VVT Dynamique 2 Petrol Black
looking forward to the summer but just a few things

1st has any body found out that there CC has only got cat2 alarm instead of cat1 as standard mine is now going into Renault to have a cat1 fitted under warranty as it looks like it was missed when built

2nd can any body tell me the code for my engine for later reference

3rd should the auto open windows (1 push down) work to shut as mine go down but not up I've got to hold the button until there shut

4th and last I've just seen a little bit of oil on top left of engine by the 1st spark plug holder I think its the spark plug as there are 4 in a row from left to right is this something I should sort out @ Renault

Hi there and welcome. I can answer the window question. The windows go right down when you open the roof and go back up if you hold the roof open button down after the boot beeps when it has shut. The same will happen when you put the roof back up and hold the roof up button again after the roof has gone back up and the boot beeps again. Regarding the one touch window button, it only takes them down with one touch. You have to hold the button to put them all back up together. Hope that all makes sense.

Thanks for the reply but also how do you lock the rear windows to stop little fingers playing with the button I've got a button next to my 4 way window buttons but this seems to do nothing
