Is it definetly white or light grey? Mine puts out a bit of light grey when I floor it. Also uses a bit of oil and occasionally smells slightly oily. I've tried cleaning the EGR, cleaning out the intercooler and pipes etc. Makes no difference so I live with it!

Is the smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe or from the engine bay? You really shouldn't be able to smell anything that comes out of the exhaust pipe when you are in the car, so have you got an oil leak somewhere from the engine onto a hot bit like the turbo or exhaust manifold? That would burn and give grey / white smoke and a smell from the engine bay.
