1.9 Diesel Tune-up

Hello,

I own a three door 2006 1.9 Diesel Dynamic Megan – It puts out (I'm told) 120 brake, its sufficient but does have a few flat spots.. I was told at my local Renault specialist, (www.renatec.co.uk) in Bristol they could up the power to 150 bhp for £200 and without too much trouble.

Has anyone had this done or has any advice, I've done some reading and the whole ECU re-map / “chipping” etc sounds a minefield and open to being ripped off by see reputable garages..

Just had my 1.9 130 dci remapped (London Remaps) basically at Millwall football ground.

So pleased with the result.

It pulls all the way from 2k revs to the end no flat spots.

They said it would add 30bhp but its all about the torque on Diesels now at 360 but need a rolling road to test this.

I'd say do it you will love it.

Saying this its only been a few days and I'm not sure if I'm going to get any problems it kicks out a lot of black which I'm guessing is burning oil and fuel
quickly. It did this anyway when I put my foot down so I'm just hoping I'll have to top up the oil my regularly.
