car tax question
I have an 06 1.5 dci that is £100 a year car tax, however I keep seeing these mentioned with £30 tax? Are these the cars with that stupid exhaust particle filter thing to get the emissions down perhaps?

Re: car tax question
Is yours a 106 or does it have a sunroof as if yes to either of those that'll push the vlf up

Re: car tax question
Is there any way an 86 bhp model would be £100 tax? Because that's what I thought I had
No sunroof. I'll have a look at the paperwork see if it says...

Is it showing as euro4? It should be but I think some slipped through that weren't which is where there could be an issue.

Re: car tax question
Is yours the Sports Tourer (estate) ?
The estate is heavier than the hatchback so emissions are slightly higher.

Re: car tax question
No difference under the bonnet but the heavier weight of the car requires slightly more fuel to accelerate it and therefore more emissions out of the exhaust.
I think the £30 tax limit is 120g/km of CO2 which the hatchback only just meets and the estate is just over at 124 g/km of CO2.
Bummer.

Ahh that's why then. Still rather have the estate though it costs more
