Window washers not working

Postby Bezzawick » Fri Oct 11, 2013 5:31 pm

Hi I'm new to the site. I have just bought a megane 1.6 2003 and I am having problems with the window washers when I pull the window wipers stick back the washers do not work and there is no sound from the washer motor so I don't think the jets are blocked and the wipers don't work either although the wipers work on there own. I have looked in the glove box for the fuse that might work the washers but I am unable to see which fuse it may be.
I hope I have explained this ok but I'm not the best on the Internet.
Thanks
Clair

Hi. The Stick should come towards you I think!

If the Washer and Wipers are not working when pulling the Stick it possible the wiring within the Stick it self that is at fault Broken Wire or Connect Switch.

I don't think there is a separate Fuse for the Washers.

Thanks for the reply. I have also since noticed that the cigarette lighter and the back window heater is also not working could these all be linked

Fuse 'G' (a 15amp fuse in the glovebox) protects the following:

Radio - offset display - headlight washer pump relay - first row cigarette lighter - heated seats - screen washer pump - diesel fuel heater relay - air conditioning control panel - AC control unit - auto-dimming rear-view mirror - Protection and Switching Unit

Heated rear screen is fuse '6' (30amps) under the bonnet.

I would look at these first....
Renault Megane 1.5dCi (106)
Lowered 45mm (Spax)
RenaultSport R26 Front & Rear Bumpers, Spoilers, Door Bullets, & Exhaust
6000k HIDs (H7 & H11), LED Side, No Plate, & Interior Lights
18" Inovit Tarmac Alloys (matt black)
