Banded wheels?

Banded wheels?
I can't do much with the performance of my Meggy as she's a 1.6 16v automatic and needs to be relatively economical to run but having bought steel wheels I am beginning to consider getting them banded. Any reasons why I shouldn't?

Exactly like these having spent years driving Pug/Citroen jobbies I got to like steelies.

Place in scarborough do it for 50 a wheel, they did my rallye steelies. Alonze custom its called
