Car was looking good, very nice 2.0t engine, no leaks, nice body.

Problem was that fan was't working too. I looked on fuses and they looked that they had contact with a bit of water. It is convertible so I thought it actually make sense. I own CAN CLIP which was saying that there is no contact with UCH.
The drama started when I arrived home and disassembled glove box.

I called the guy, he was simply a scum that was a car dealer. I couldn't believe that you can invite somebody to your house, let him meet your 4 kids and telling lies all the time.
Car had just one previous owner - lady. My mate called place where MOTs where taken and they told him everything about the car - well looked after, but suddenly sold.
Anyway, there was no chance to get money back. I decided to take dashboard out.

I realized that fan overheated and melted air mixer, which caused smoke and fire extinguisher was used - I found a lot of powder under dashboard and carpets. Car was well cleaned before I came.
Computer is rather dead

... but this is too good example to be scraped - I did 100 miles in it and it was really good 100 miles.

Only way to take out air mixer was to take out that metal bar going from left to right. Driveway is too narrow so I had to take off doors (screw coming from sides)

I knew that I can destroy air mixer, because it is all melted so I was breaking piece by piece of it.
I also found a fan....

I managed to take everything out

Now I need new air mixer unit with electric control + new dashboard with passenger airbag. Electric looms are in very good shape. I only need to fix 4 wires and give a good clean to plugs and sockets and put new tape around it. Did such repairs in past

I'm electrical engineer with specialization in car electric systems so I know what I'm doing

I want to warn you. Remember to replace your cabin air filter, in my opinion it was a reason that fan was overheated - too hard work to pull air. It started to overheat, then melted the plastic due to too high temperature. You don't want that....
Anybody have for sale parts that I need? I live in Clevedon - Bristol area. Any suggestions for nice scrap yards? I already checked 2 in Weston-Super-Mare.... I seems that Megane is really more reliable car then Laguna (found 5 of those... I also own one

Hope you enjoy sun.
