I been having issues with the radio reception in my 2007 Priv' for a while and decided to take the car to an ICE specialist in Bury St Edmunds.
Having been unable to remove the head unit as the 6 disc changer wouldn't come out due to the right hand side not releasing, we looked at the aerial and found that where the lead is cable-tied to the hinge mechanism, is has clearly been bent many times and the outer black covering has broken, as has half the wire shielding and possibly in the inner wire too.
Has anyone had this problem before and it so how can the wire be replaced ? Is there a joint in the wire close by or is it one wire that runs all the way to the stereo ?
Thanks
David

Hi, was just wondering if you managed to sort this out as I think I've got the same problem.
Our stereo is rubbish. No reception at all. Please let me know.
Thanks Karl.

Sadly not. No responses and no joy in resolving.
Sometimes reception is fine, others it won't find anything.
