Hi everyone.
I'm the lucky owner of a '06 Mégane II ph.2 Grand Tour 2.0 dCi 150.
A month ago I lapped the infamous Nürburgring with it.
The car held up pretty well, but stock brakes faded very badly after about 2 miles.
When I got home that evening, I was looking into brake upgrades options...
The Scénic II has 300x44x24mm discs (stock Mégane has 280x44x24mm).
Since the Scénic II is pretty much a big Mégane II, can I use the discs, calipers and hoses from it on my car?
Is the Scénic II using other calipers/caliper carriers, or does it have the same calipers/caliper carriers and a different hub? Or both?
(I noticed the 03-06 Scénic II and Mégane II are using different calipers then the 06-09 Scénic II and Mégane II, so IF I need the calipers, I obviously need to use the calipers from a 06-09 Scénic II)

Re: Scenic II calipers on Mégane II
Why not upgrade to a set of drilled/grooved discs specifically for the Megane with performance pads?

You have to be easy with your brakes on Nürburgring, or else they will fade.
I'm using stock 280mm discs, Ferodo Performance pads and Ferodo Brake fluid 5.1 on my Megane Estate, and it works pretty well with no fading. Brake hard when you need to brake and remove your foot when you are done braking, do not make those long brake entries into corners. That's what make your brakes overheating.
My fastest time yet BtG, is 9:36, with brakes and loweringsprings as only upgrades. My newly fitted Bilstein suspension is to be tested there in about 2 months.
I would just upgrade the standard brakesystem with pads and fluid. I haven't met any troubles with fading yet and i have visited quite a few trackdays in Denmark already.

Re: Scenic II calipers on Mégane II
After a bit of research I'm done upgrading the brakes.
I used the following parts:
- Grand Scenic II 2.0 dCi Bosch rotors (300x24 - 5x108)
- Grand Scenic II ATE calipers and carriers
- Grand Scenic II Brembo brake pads
- ATE super blue racing DOT 4 brake fluid
I'm still bedding them in, but I'm pretty happy so far.
They're a plug and play upgrade and the parts are easily obtainable.
I can always upgrade the Brembo pads to something better if I want.
