Hi guys, just a quicky.
Ever since iv had my megane the lights on the bottom of my doors dont light up. Its got me thinking, would all of them not work if 1 bulb is out or is it a fuse?
Iv got one bulb gone (back passenger door) but I havnt got a volt meter to check if there is power going to them.
has anyone any ideas or anybody know which fues it is?
Thanks guys, its starting to do my head in now.
Kind regards.

Re: Door puddle lights
One bulb being out shouldn't make a difference.
I doubt its the fuse either though as I think they share the fuse with the courtesy lights.... remove the bulbs and unplug the connectors and make sure all connections are clean... they could be corroded.

Hello there mate, iv done all the above but still no luck. The connections look good. My courtesy lights (roof lights) all work so I wouldn't of thought that it shares the same fuse...?
I was going to change them but could do with knowing if power is getting to them. My neighbour mite have a volt meter.
Bloody Renault electrics.

Re: Door puddle lights
Looking at the diagram, there seems to be a common connection plug referred to as R2. On a left-hand drive car, this plug is located under the floor just behind the driver's seat plug (so on a right-hand drive car, this might be in the opposite location). Might be worth a look

Re: Door puddle lights
If you have floor storage compartments on the passenger and drivers side try opening them, the door lights should come on, if they do then you know that the fuse is ok and the problem is else ware.

Not all specs have the microswitch in the floor compartments....
