Air bag light on and now clicking behind steering wheel

Hi All

got a megane II and the Air bag light have come on also getting a clicking behind the steering wheel

anybody got any ideas what have caused it

It is a ribbon cable inside the steering wheel broken. It is replaced together with the indicator stalk assembly. There were many posts about it recently. I have no idea what causes its failure, mine is still alive. The job involve removing the airbag, which is scary.

Hi needy. As soon as I read your problem, it rang a bell! I have covered this problem in several posts. Try this one; viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12809#p79895
Don't be afraid of working on airbags. I have removed quite a few over the years. Just follow the instructions. Since I replaced our clockspring (rotary connector) with a second hand one, we have had no more problems.
