hello there everyone i have got a renault megane 03 1.9 dci 120 i rescently popped down to my brothers for half hour when i got back in it wouldnt start . no glow plug or oil lights come on it just clicks then comes up steering locked , but all the the fans and radio still work , it had a new bci unit 2 months ago so couldnt imagine it being that again so any help would be great

It's either the battery or steering lock. Start with the battery - they serve 6 years and tend to fail in winter.

I have had the exact same problem, the other day it took a couple of tries to start the car.

If its the steering lock, how can you fix this?

If it the steering lock, then you have to fiddle with it until it unlocks. Then remove the security bolt while it is powered and unlocked. Otherwise, the bolt will snap and it will be the cold chisel time...

The lock can be taken apart and repaired or replaced. The tricky thing is to remove it.
