The passenger side, rear, has stoppen working on my car as well. I am assuming its something to do with the switches as niether the driver switch or rear switch worked before it froze in the upright position BUT it did do before on when opening the roof. Any ideas?

Im guessing this would cost a bomb for renault to fix it.

usually ECU ontop of motor has got wet, sometimes you can kick em back into life by pulling off rear panel and disconecting plug, drying it and leaving it off over night to completly dry, then re try it, works sometimes.
Don't know about you guys but we have have some hefty showers here in Wales over the last week or so.
I would guess wet ECU/Conveniance unit, 6 pin plug, 1 lives ontop of each window motor. most people find that the switch in the center consul works most times but door switches do not, must be a certain pin that takes the 1st hit and takes out the door switches.

Just had that happen on my '54 plate 1.9 dci: nothing doing on the driver's door or rear switches but works fine on the console switch. Since there's about a foot and a half of snow on the ground here it sounds quite feasible that there's a frozen or wet switch. If it comes back to life after the thaw then great, otherwise it's off to my local Renault people.

UPDATE:
Phoned my local Renault people today and before I'd even finished describing the problem the man replied "Ah yes, one of the switches on the actuator has either frozen up or got some dirt in it". She's going into the workshop on the 16th, so let's see if they're right.

UPDATE 2: Having overcome the expected problems with Crawley Down Renault ("Sorry, we have no record of your booking") the car went into the workshop today. The problem is indeed the actuator and Renault are finding 70% of the cost, leaving me with £80 to find. So no problem with Renault stumping up some money. I just wish their local agents could at least pretend to give a toss about looking after their customers, even though they clearly don't.
