Noobie alert

Postby Koreanbaz » Sat Apr 14, 2012 2:26 pm

Hello forum type peeps.

I currently drive a Trafic, but after 6 years I've decided I need/want a bit more comfort.

I am hopefully picking up a 05 1.9 130 Dci something or other Megane tomorrow. 47k on the clock, so hopefully will do for the next 3 years/ 90k miles

is there anything that i really need to be looking out for before handing over my hard earned?

Its pretty much the same engine as my van i expect and that has been great,, bar a minor selector issue to the gearbox a month ago, and a need to eat track rod ends. which the trafic unforunatley shares with the Megane.

Is there any toys I should be looking for?

I want a tow bar, because it will come in handy,

And can a cruise control be retro-fitted to this car?

cheers and the virtual drinks are on me. 8-)

Cruise control can be retro fitted, I have written a guide which you will find on here.
Check for damp in the footwells, in the underfloor cubby holes and check everything electrical, check it twice!lol appart from there's nothing off hand I can think of. ;-)
