just pull the actual unit out the door and you'll prob find the wires just come off the switch sometimes there's a flimsy plastic bit that brakes, failing that trace the wire, but if the actual window is working via the centre witch your pretty safe to assume the door switch wire, i actually have same issue with my 5 door rear window, just never remember to pull until out to fix.

When you say it goes down, does it also come back up (via the centre console switch)? If not, the regulator might be to blame. This is a different kettle of fish.

If a wire has broken, I would venture a guess that it will be around the door hinge 'boot'. This area gets the most mechanical stress with the door being opened and closed repeatedly.

The more information, the more help.

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

Have you had this fixed?

I have the same problem with my front driver side window in my 5 door Sport Tourer. The switch works for down but not up.

This may not be relevant to your window problem but as someone who has had 5 window mechanisms (x2 drivers side window) replaced so far in the life of my 53 Megane Dynamic did you know that Renault is making a contribution! towards the replacement of window mechanisms for cars that are 7 years or under and under 100,000 miles. Doesn't help me but spread the word as unless owners take cars to a Renault garage or ring Renault they won't know about it.
