Who wants to be a Moderator?

As the subject line says:
We need a mod to replace me. I'll still be around but not daily and eventually it'll wind down even more over the next few months while I settle to life in Hong Kong and as I don't have a Megane anymore.

So put your name forward and I'll review each person and check their posts, visit frequency, quality of posts etc... then speak to Andy about it.

I'll be honest about it, the job is easy. I spend probably an extra 120 seconds per day/visit doing any extra admin stuff such as deleting multiple posts, deleting spam users and their posts or just moving topics to the right area of the forum. Those are the 3 things i do and there isn't much to do of it. Any questions, ask here preferably or PM if you think it's worth some privacy (my inbox may end up full!).

Paddy - please chirp in with anything you wish to add.

After discussions and PM-ing a few random members who frequent often, we have decided to grant Moderator privileges to DaveLowe. He will assist Paddy with day to day stuff. Both now have a green tint to their names on the forum (now that I figured out how to do it )
Taking over from me, is Stranger. He's been around since the first week we went live in 2005. His name will have a red hue to it.

I think its time to work together and move this forum forward... It has been a tad stagnant over the last while.

One thought would be to remove the banner of 'Megane 2' to just Megane owners club. To encourage more folk that have the new model.

Heading more in the direction of the type of forum Megane Sport . net is.

Prehaps a full forum revamp, layout and the like. I'd happly throw a few quid in the correct direction.

We do have a soild core but looking to improve can do no harm.

What thought have you?

Interesting point. I wonder if the forum has been a little 'stagnant' of late since most of the common issues regarding the model II cars have been well explored. I'll give it some thought though, and hopefully others will have good suggestions too.
