Get some fk lowering springs for around £140 I have them on mine.. But if your wanting to spend a bit more, sure you could get a set of coilovers.. Which are ultimately better than just changing the springs..

A bit more than £140, the cheapest set of coilovers for the 225 are £1100+ KW Variant 3.

Ive got a set of Cobra 40mm on mine with 3 coils cut from the rear so now its 60mm on the rear. The ride is excellent and feels firm.

Make it easy for ya, Only K-Tec can supply coilovers for the megane 225, heres a link for ya.............

http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2008&appid=12

These are the cheapest for the Meg 225. K-tec have most contracts tied up with parts for the 225. For example, You cant buy the 2.75'' Exhaust system direct from milltek, you have to go through K-tec to buy it.

Are you serious?! Genuine question...

I'm thinking to myself: get the spring compressors out of the toolbox, put the springs in a vice (uncompressed obviously) and take an angle grinder to them. Is that (in principle) what you've done?
Silver 08 plate 5dr 1.5dci Dynamique 106 Tech Run (re-mapped)

Red 03 plate 5dr 1.9 Dynamique dci120

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

yeah coilovers are a tad on the rich side, maybe next year as just bought new alloys.

might look at springs then. but cutting them is bit on the dangerous side is it not?

I think if your daft enough to do this then cutting compressed springs while on the car is pribably the way to go!lol
:conf

And I think it's widely unacceptable and dangerous to cur coils from your springs! Each to their own tho...

That's what I thought - so I calculated what the result would be using FEA and it wasn't pretty!
