key card reader

Hi, i.m new to this site and new to Renault ownership and it's problems. I have a 52 plate megane 1.5 dci, i put the keycard into the reader and the reader fell into the console!! i managed to somehow start the car and get home, but my problem now is to re-fit the reader if i can, i need the car for work at 5 a.m! so any help on this problem will be greatly received. many thanks

just hold the read with your hand while starting the car, after starting the card doesnt need to stay in the reader. this can buy you some time while you dont have time to fix the tray

Thanks for the reply, maybe i didn't explain, the reader has fallen inside the console, i.e dropped down where i cant get at it without removing trim. thanks for your help though

that way you have to take off just the pocket below the radio to try get your hand inside the dash and fetch the card tray. just pull it out from there.

All sorted now, such a simple fix, think i may of been pushing the card a tad too hard into the reader, thanks for your help though
