Just bought a K & N Panel filter.
Just want abit of a step by step guide on how to change it over.

Easy mate just bought one my self just unscrew the top two screws slide out, old filter out new one in.

A short/mini screw driver would be handy too..
its a bit fiddly as the filter has to be prised out a little as it pulls upwards, but relatively easy for a novice like me!

Let us know if you see any improvement with that air filter Andy,ive been thinking of buying one myself

Sily question but will these be class as a "mod" to insurance companies ? and you have to inform them youve fitted it ?

No if it was an induction kit you would have to but not with a panel filter
