which 205/55/R16 tires ?
Sorry if its been asked a gazillion times (search function seems to be broke atm) my front tires look like they could do with swapping probably after xmas, theres decent tread but the outer looks abit scrubbed possibly due to the fact the tracking was out before i bought it , anyway ive had that done and its fine now but thought id look into two new front tires, the backs are perfect
my megane has AUTOGRIP F106's all round and i WAS going to replace with the same tire but a quick google suggest's these are poor quality budget tires ? are these tires poor ? if so what others would you recommend ? i dont want to spend a fortune but i dont want rubbish ones either,id say maybe a budget of around £150 for the front two fitted ?

Tyre choice is a very personal thing and everyone will have a favourite but I took a look at this review website.
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyres_For/Renault/Megane.htm
I chose the Falken 452 and have them in my shed waiting to on in a month or so. I paid £104 online for two (delivered) and my local garage charges me £10 a tyre to put them on.
Blackcircles, Camskill, etc are a good starting point to look for prices. I got mine from here
http://www.antecsltd.co.uk/
hope that's useful.

Ok after reading some reviews i think i'll go with your suggestion morgan and get the Falkens
Do you think there will be any issues with mixing the tires ? IE falkens on the front and these autogrips on the back ?

No problem. Recommendations are to keep matching tyre in pairs, both front the same or both back the same.
By the way I haven't fitted mine yet so I can't give you any personal feedback on the Falkens but I'm hopeful they'll be good tyres for the money.

Re: which 205/55/R16 tires ?
For the given application and the UK climate choose one of these. I would not recommend anything "sportier" (not for the chassis in question) or the other way round "greener" (Conti, Nokian and Pirelli are green enough). The earlier mentioned Falken are only good for dry conditions as most Japanese tyres. As for many dodgy makes - stay away from them. Your car is only as good as its tyres.
£70
Continental PremiumContact 2 -- probably the best, very forgiving, very good aquaplaning resistance
Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 -- more comfort less wet grip than Conti -- not very relevant for a diesel
Nokian H or V -- trades a bit of Conti's handling for grip when cold (+2..+7C)
£65
Pirelli Cinturato P7 -- excellent
Vredestein Sportrac 3 -- particularly good aquaplaning resistance in a bend
<£65
don't...

Pirelli also do there P6000 range about £60 and under good tyres on a budget
obv a set of Pirelli P zeros would be lovely but your talkin about £90-100
P6000
Goodyear Efficient Grip look really good and under £70
