I cant get in my car!

Hi,

I came to get in my car (03 plate megane) this morning and it would not open.
I have had no problems with the central locking, it probably has been the only thing that has consistantly worked.

I have tried the 2nd fob, and new batteries but neither will work.
Also, when i trid to use the manaul key that comes out of the fob, instead of opening the door like it should, the lock came out of the door.

What can I do?
Are there any ways to actually get into my car apart from smashing a window.

Any replies would be most helpful.

maybe the cars battery is dead. Can you take out the grill to open the bonnet?

if the lock fell out then you can see inside the door. just turn the hole that is left inside and the car will unlock

I got home after work and pressed the button on my fob.

It made an unlocking noise but the Light didnt flash like they usually do when I Lock/Unlock my car.

I then got in and the car wouldnt start, the light inside were flashing on and off, really quickly, the "Insert card/remove card light was the only one that stayed on, and if I turned on one of the lights on the roof they would flicker quickly.

I then got out of the car again and pressed the lock button, but the interior light kept going on and off on its own, eventually the car went dark again and now it wont open and the fob isnt working.

Its either extremely broken.....Or haunted.

Maybe. Does anybody know how to open the bonnet without being able to open the car

Have you not had any luck with the key in the door then? How about going using the key on the boot instead and climbing through there?

AFAIK the only slot for the key is in the drivers door.

To the OP: Next time you get in the car, unlatch the bonnet and leave it unlatched, it's not as though you're driving it anywhere, that way you can take the battery out and charge it or try another and that's got to be the first step in diagnosing what's up

There is a slot in my boot lid for a key on our CC, I assumed other Meganes had the same?

Well, I'm all out of ideas.

The lock is broken so I cant use that to get in.
The Fob is still not working.

Is there any way of getting into my car other than breaking a window!!!
