I'm not sure if someone has already posted a link to this but thought it would be worth repeating.
Obviously, the more people join and register thier complaints/problems, the more notice Renault will take.

I doubt Renault will care to be honest, their answer will be all new models wont have the defect

Renault wont care, and wont change unless they have to (affected sales), they have always been the same after having Renault as a dealership you know what they are like, chances are the Meg 3 will still have similar probelms to the Meg 2 maybe even the Meg 1 we have both 1 and 2 in out family and the problems are a very similar when they arise, Meg one had window issues so does my Meg 2, nothing changed there, Meg 1 popped CV boots off thus trashing the CV joints a few months later, my Meg 2 has popped the passenger one off, so only a matter ot time know before it is drive shaft time same problem differant version car, yet we put refurbished drive shafts on and the boots stay on? I wonder how small factories who refurbish these joints can manage to make these boot stay on but Renault with all its years in the motor trade can not! they are not the only ones though Mazda suffer very similar with CV boots.
I personally think the cars we will be buying in the future will be even worse many are using cheap parts from soviet block countries some big makes as well, and assembling them in the "makes" country, Especially at present when cash is king and these car manufactures are cutting as many corners as possible to make some cash, VW are one big offender, they use to be a solid car but now they are just "crap" in side very similar to the Tiny Computer scam years back, if you put both our Renaults together my wifes 1999 Meg 1 is far better built than my 2004 Meg 2 and it sticks out a mile as well, one example her interior is held together by self tappers, mine is just pushed together with cheap plastic clips, which of course squeek and rattle just to save money on screws and time on the line no doubt, older folk always say "they don't make em how they use to" well they are spot on they don't, just think in 40 years time will your Meg CC be running in a vintage car rally around Snowdonia like all the old MG,s, mini,s & Jaguars still do? some how I don't think so......
