Hi Guys
I have nothing but problems with my 1.9dci, had a new cambelt and two new starters and the car is still sporadically not starting? its putting alot of strain on the s motor and has broken two in the last 2 months
I decided to talk to a renault specialist as my normal mechanic hasnt been fixing the root cause and they suggested it could be the tdc sensor?
Does this sound viable?
Do I need a new TDC sensor?

It looks like yet another attempt to service a computer without looking at the monitor...
Your car is a complex mechatronics system. It is equipped with on-board diagnosis subsystem. Use it and read the manual in the sticky thread above the other threads.
As the car was repaired by incompetent people, it needs proper diagnosis.
Regarding the TDC sensor. Its malfunction causes cut-outs and not just difficulties with starting. It is the camshaft sensor which affects starting, but when started the engine works. There can be other reasons as well (fuelling, low starter revs, bad compression, etc.).
