Passengers in the rear
Currently, if the passenger seat is adjusted to half way forwards, then someone needs to get in the back so they pull the shoulder lever which folds and then pushes that passenger seat forwards fully, must the seat always return to as far back as possible to lock into place before it can be pushed forwards again? as in it doesn't remember where the seat was? This is the case with me at the moment and it's a huge inconvenience...

Re: Passengers in the rear
Right, I've just tried the drivers seat and it remembers where it last was so after someone goes into the back through the drivers side, the seat locks in where it was, it's only my passenger side that doesn't seem to remember its last position, is this how it should be? Because if not, I will add it on to get fixed when the car goes in for its bloody regulators.

Re: Passengers in the rear
No is should remember its last postion, my passenger seat is ok my driver seat sometimes gets it wrong, or is it me not sure, I have to think about it as I don't do passengers on my side really not enough room, I think say from your half way position fold seat forward and it opens up for the rear passenger, whilst seat is forward I think you put the backrest back to the seating postion then slide it back, could be the other way around as said can't remember as I sometimes get it wrong as well and end up having the rear passenger throw thier legs over the center consul to get my seat to lock, I am 90% sure it is as above, whilst forward put your seat back to its seating postion then slide it back, it could be it only operates when the seat is in its most forward postion as in by the steering wheel, if you let it slide back a little and put the seat back to itsseating postion, I am not sure then is when it does not catch if you know what I mean, there is sequance for it to lock and remember its last postion my wife gets it every time on the passenger side as thats where most of our rear seats sit.

Re: Passengers in the rear
For my passenger seat, after it's been pulled forward and folded to allow a passenger into the rear, I've tried to unfold the backrest first before sliding the seat backwards hoping it locks into place but it doesn't seem to lock in where it was but instead, it goes right to the back first before I have to slide it forwards again.

Re: Passengers in the rear
Guessing then you have already tried it still folded and it doesn't work, sounds like a runner problem you could try a bit of spray oil and work the eat just in case it has gone dry, no idea what the mechanism looks like or in what part of the runner you will fine it.
Sorry can't be much more help on this, not had to look at mine.........yet!
