Well please with it!
This looks ace - where did you get the steering wheel and airbag from?
How difficult was it to swap them / does the airbag still function?
EDIT: looking around its going to be hard I think... damn beige interior again....

I can supply an airbag £100 delivered the steering wheel was from eBay and the buttons came with it for £30 you can add the buttons to any steering wheel so just buy those.. Wiring up the buttons using the ribbon type cable was the trickiest part, and I didn't take any pictures
And yes the airbag works
It's doable if you have good common sense and are happy doing this type of thing, had to follow some wires round with a multi meter, that type of stuff... Very rewarding one it's done tho!

Hi joeishmather,
Just ordered steering wheel with CC controls. Can you please explain what do I need to do in order to properly plug that thing and make CC/SL to work?

You didn't need to order a new steering wheel just the controls... Where abouts are you would be alot easier to give you the advice face to face!

Re: How to retrofit cruise control, step by step..
I've canceled my steering wheel order. So what do you suggest to order? Only Controls and the airbag compatible with CC? Can they fit on any steering wheel? My car is Megane II Lux Dinamique yr. 2004 (so model before yr. 2005 facelift) with Leather Steering Wheel. Can I fit controls and compatible airbag from Megane e.g. yr. 2008 (with that silver ring around Renault sign)?
Can you send us details how did YOU do it? (whole process of removing the old airbag and installing controls and new airbag, wirings etc.)
How hard is and what tools do you need to remove/install airbag anyways?
Cheerio !!!

Only order controls a airbag, that's all that needed.. I can supply airbag if you need £100 delivered. I will post more details when I am on my computer.

Until joeishmather responds to this, does anybody else manage to achieve retrofitting with genuine CC controls and airbag? I've read about this on some German forum and there seems to be some kind of issue with "slip ring" doesn't fit??
