Re: Anyone have an aftermarket headunit?
thanks, do you have these parts?
is there more to it than just directing one wire to one plug sort of thing, is there some circuit in it?
reason im asking is, it seems alot to me and i was wondering if i could just chop and direct the wires myself... im fairly good with the electronics and things, ive managed to fit cruise control with all original parts so hoping it cant be anyomre difficult than that.. unless there is a circuit of some sort..
thanks again

also notic that first lising says they give a free patch lead, you just have to tell them which one, so that saves getting the second item i guess!

Re: Anyone have an aftermarket headunit?
Dont start chopping the wires up. Peter is right its not worth it. I tried doing it thinking tI would save me money but you need the interface wire. The interface wire has a box in it which translate the stalk signal to something the head unit can understand. Without it the head unit controls wont work. I've experienced the frustration of trying to splice the wires together myself and it not working.
Yeah ive used this and it works fine. I got mine second hand off ebay for £20 so quite cheap

Eddies is a different brand. Auto leads if I'm correct. The one i have is connects2. They are usually about the same price so would question if that is all you need to get the steering wheel controls to work for that cheap.
