What 4 pot callipers/discs would fit a phase 1 megane 2 (2003) sport tourer...either from a 225(via a breaker) or size the discs up and the mouting lugs up on the upright.
Im a qualified race engineer so i know what im doing, lol...

the 225 disks won't fit straight on as they have 1 too many holes, but if you know what your doing, why do you need help?

Re: Phase 2 4 pot conversion...
just curious to see if anyone had attempted it, the 225 has 5 studs not 4 studs whereas the phase 1 megane has 4 studs with 4 x 100pcd.
The disc is 280mm and 22mm thick on the front. The mounting holes of the standard calliper are approx 155mm width. You are able to get adapter brackets to enable the use of different discs and callipers but you would have to find a disc that matched the stud arrangement and be of suitable size for the calliper.
I have managed to source a set of 4 pots from a mazda, i am just about to overhaul them (chemically cleaned/beadblasted/crack tested/sprayed and then rebuilt with new seals/pistons). I am asking godspeed braking how much it would cost to manufacture a 2 piece disc (bell and disc) as this way the disc never warps, they also do very good conversion kits or if i use some adaptors if i could run a larger disc. (wheel size permitting).
So just curious, alot of people seem to be tuning their engines but brakes/tyres should really be the first port of call when tuning a vehicle.

What disc size are you looking for? A mild upgrade from the standard 280mm to 300mm is easy, just take a standard 300mm four-stud Scenic disc. Should have an identical offset to the Megane disc and bolt straight to the Megane hub.

im probably gonna get a 2piece disc from godspeed braking in 325mm and use spacers to enable the larger disc.
You have pm from me.

Re: Phase 2 4 pot conversion...
I have sourced from a breaker the hub flanges so i can use 5 stud 225 wheel fitment now, also due to the 225 brembos being radially mounted I sourced again from a breaker the front hubs. At the weekend i shall strip the callipers and take them to my old workplace where i shall put them into the parts cleaner before beadblasting them and drop them off for powdercoating. Once i get them back i shall replace the seals and source some ferrodo ds2500 pads, my friend runs https://www.yozzasport.co.uk/ so emailed him about 2 part discs, the team i used to work for make the bells for his kit...
Someone asked me why waste money when im gonna get a performance car anyway, well its the joy i get from doing it simple as that. Some people like tinted windows and loud i.c.e, i just like doing things that other people dont do. Besides if in 6 months down the line all the stuff i have planned is finished it would make an interesting article.
I often also use www.tdocuk.com

Re: Phase 2 4 pot conversion...
But what is the point of all this, even if you have a 2.0VVT its only putting out 136BHP which standard brakes and maybe up rated pads can handle perfectly well.
With the price of a low mileage 225 these days why bother with tuning the lower speced engines and breaking systems? You maybe if you’re lucky get 150BHP out of the 2.0VVT without serious work and a 225 will still drive past like your standing still.
I personally think if you’re set on MOD a car’s engine and breaking system it’s better to start with a performance (used loosely when talking about the 225) engine rather than something that’s in every family wagon in the country.
Save your money for now lad and go buy the stick on Brembo covers off ebay!

Better braking system is always good to do first, then move onto a engine mods or 225 engine conversion and know that you can stop it safely
You don't always need a fast top speed to have fun but you always need good brakes. Keep us posted how you go with this.
