Window Problems

I have got an 04 megane dynamique 5 door and since I have had the car the drivers side window goes down in stages rather than smoothly and I have to keep pushing the buttom to make it go down and up. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to solve it. All other three windows work fine. Any help will be appreciated.

try the reset button old the 2 button together with the window up for about 15 seconds

True. This is the calibration procedure for the windows controller that should be performed after interruption of power, which causes reset and loss of calibration. First close the windows -- they will move 2cm at a time. Then pull and hold all 4 buttons up (2 on a 2 door model) for about 10 seconds.
